How it started...

"Winscolt House" originally began as the name of my dollhouse. In an effort not to go broke renovating in 1/12 scale I started making some of my own miniatures. I have since started to experiment with making dolls as well. (Incidentally, a dream of mine since I was seven years old).

So, in an effort to save my husband's sanity, I have started this blog. Shockingly, he does not maintain the same enthusiasm as myself, in discussing my latest experiments with a new polymer clay, or selecting the right wall paper for the dollhouse bathroom.

I started sculpting dolls using polymer clay in May 2010.  Since then, it's become an obsession.  I tend to have one or two dolls going at any given time, and each one usually takes several weeks to complete.
